On the second weekend of October we had an awesome opportunity to go to Lake Tahoe with our classmates. Lake Tahoe is around a 2,5-hour drive away from Davis. Even though it is that near, the landscape changes quite dramatically, more hills and spruces. At Lake Tahoe our class had rented a cabin for the weekend. It was the largest cabin that I had ever lived in with 6-7 bathrooms and I don't even know how many different bedrooms, anyway a three-storey. Plus a hot tub right outside on the terrace - Californian style!

On the next day, Saturday we went hiking. Before crossing the border between California and Nevada, we drove past the lake. Water of the lake seemed like crystal clear. We hiked quite a long way and some of us hiked all the way to the top. At the top of the mountain the view was just amazing, and on top of that it was very windy and cold.

It was great to see Lake Tahoe, definitely worth seeing. Additionally, we had a lot of fun getting to know our classmates better. In total we were around 30 people. Lots of good food, drinks and new names to remember, of which I can't probably remember even half yet.
